Dance ~ On Your Feet

Join us in person for a fun and lively session of Israeli folk dancing. I provide instruction modeling and calling steps, verbal and visual cues, clarification and enrichment with wonderful Israeli folk classics and fun modern melodies. As we move together, you will enjoy an elevated heart, energized spirit and all the benefits that come with dancing. For ZOOM OPTION, clear some space on a smooth surface in or around your home and join us in a virtual circle while each in our own squares.

Chair Dance ~ In Your Seat

My uniquely enriching chair dancing program brings the joy and ruach of Israeli folk dance to everyone regardless of age, experience, coordination, skill, or mobility. This fun fitness program provides whole body engagement activating up to all your muscles from head to toe, all the while to fantastic and classic Israeli folk music. Participants need only sit with feet on the floor, have enough clear space around for both arms reach in every direction. I teach and call all moves as well as offer variations and modifications for individual needs. You will be surprised by the challenges of this gentle aerobic activity.

With Your Group

I offer something fun for everyone with families or students of different ages and abilities. I can Zoom in and lead everyone present in a dancing session of your choice. I’ll work with you to create a playlist that blends with your particular program or present a program of my favorites.

Dance-a-D’rash Cre8ive Workshop

From Miriam’s dancing us joyfully to freedom, through the meditative stepping, swaying and bending in our davening, to folks gathering in Israeli dance circles through statehood and the world over to this day, Jewish dance has always been a celebration of community and continuity, an embodiment of our prayers and a moving expression of our spirit. During this workshop, we blend these intentions to create a moving expression of prayer. I will lead you to weave together meaningful movements into a flowing pattern producing the essence of a dance. After breakout time and lots of repetition, your sequences for chorus and verse will become an original dance folks might easily do with you in the pews, on Zoom or anywhere, moving the worship experience to another level.

Dance Infused Kabbalat Shabbat with Oneg Dancing

I am developing a program using a variety of routines to compliment your musical services. I can lead the congregation in liturgical Israeli dances and/or simple sequences of synchronous rhythmic movements that will invite an elevated flow to prayers within the worship experience.
