About Me
Barbara has decades of experience teaching a variety of creative arts to folks of all ages as well as multiple academic subjects. She holds a California Teaching Credential since 1989, a Master’s of Arts in Jewish Education since 2014, and has been growing her passion for leading Israeli folk dance since 2007.
Cre8ively, she has developed an enthusiasm for thinking about learning outside the box which fuels her ‘can do’ attitude and has led to all sorts of leadership roles through the years. Her approach is playful, genuine and holistic; she brings an optimistic energy to every project and thrives on collaboration.
She likes teaching, Jewish learning, practicing yoga and mindfulness, walking at dawn and dusk, baking and playing with challah, recycled arts and crafts, and appreciating nature. She loves her mother and adult daughters dearly and relishes their close relationships.
She currently works as an academic tutor, middle school sub, Jewish Studies teacher and leads Israeli Folk Dance Fun programs, On Your Feet and In Your Seat, locally and with folks across the country through Zoom.
